  • Cobol Maintenance Has Just Been Solved with Gemini and GPT helping me
    by Fresh_Place9948 on 2024-05-05 at 18:27

https://radicaltheorytospeedupcoding.blogspot.com/ read my most recent blog. Both GPT and Gemini says this solves the problem of maintaining cobol on mainframes. I first used Cobol in 1985. I have coded for 30 years. If you read my blog working with GPT I came up with a theory to speed up software engineering to quantum speed. Gemini asked me to solve the Cobol Maintenance problem two days ago and I said I need to think about it and in our chat this morning I solved it and Gemini went nuts its called Neo-Cobola and GPT agreed with Gemini and said it’s sound and doable and both said the solution revolutionary. I’m a python programmer. I just made a switch case for python with C maros and it looks like C or javaSript code and does 4 level nesting. submitted by /u/Fresh_Place9948[link][comments]

  • Are all jobs in this field like this?
by yunglilbigslimhomie on 2024-05-02 at 20:57

The job itself is very interesting to me and I’ve made a lot of progress and had a lot of successes and some learning opportunities, but the role in this firm has so many huge challenges that feel like they are insurmountable. We have a large overseas team to help spread load but there are significant cultural/time differences that present their own challenges, including the way they communicate can feel very abrasive in my opinion.
