BRMS Goes to Subscription ! Common Europe Luxembourg

​[[{“value”:”Just like the operating system, BRMS (Backup, Recovery and Media Services) is transforming towards subscription.
5770-BR1 (perpetual licence) software will give way to 5770-BR2 (subscription).
The original (BR1) software will receive only minimalistic changes (mainly technological adaptations) and will be supported until end of September 2025.
The new “BR2” version have strong plans to evolve in the future.
While “BR1” was licenced by option (Base, Network, Advanced Functions) and software tier (Pxx), the new “BR2” edition will be subscribed as an entity (the product contains everything) and by processor-core on a 1/2/3/4/5 years basis.
This subcription is in addition to IBM i subscription and includes software maintenance.
